Délio Azevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 14 minutes into the match, Three Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Moura came free, but George Neuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Three Lions FC's George Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wellington Moura in the 15th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Castro. Jataiense Futebol Clube were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Three Lions FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmundo Castro took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Edmundo Castro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this George Neuer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Aaran Goiano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jataiense Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaran Goiano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. George Neuer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Three Lions FC's Álvaro Proença got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Three Lions FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Leal. In the 34th minute, Wellington Moura reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of George Neuer. The goal made the score 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rafael de Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Three Lions FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Lopez to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Zézinho Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes Jataiense Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Aaran Goiano. George Neuer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wellington Moura went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Wellington Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. George Neuer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wellington Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 78 minutes into the match, Wellington Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of George Neuer. Three Lions FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wellington Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Mathias Gonçalves hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the game, Ricardo Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jataiense Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Three Lions FC the free kick. Rony Alvarenga kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Jataiense Futebol Clube's Glauco Correia suffered a sore thigh after 93 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 93 minutes, Zézinho Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Three Lions FC and the Jataiense Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jataiense Futebol Clube booed when Three Lions FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zézinho Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball.
