The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vale Verde's César Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Paulo Peixoto in the 10th minute of play. César Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Vale Verde getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Diego Damião hit a great ball. JFSP's Edgard de Godoi managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pedrão Abraão in the 14 minute of the game. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Tepedino. César Tepedino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. César Tepedino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hermínio Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. César Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Paulo Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hermínio Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. César Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Dino Fernandez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vale Verde and the JFSP players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Vale Verde got a freekick which was hit by Dino Fernandez. Pedro Paulo Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 30 minutes into the match, Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Vale Verde's César Tepedino. César Tepedino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hermínio Meirelles scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of César Tepedino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cássio Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. César Tepedino didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JFSP. César Tepedino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hermínio Meirelles went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Dino Fernandez was shown his second yellow card after 47 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Dino Fernandez hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

César Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Peixoto in the 52nd minute of play. After 52 played minutes Vale Verde got a freekick which was hit by Luizão de Amorim. In the 57th minute Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 66 minutes, Douglas Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JFSP and the Vale Verde players grew even worse after the yellow card. 66 minutes into the game, one of JFSP:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Giorgi Mamardashvili didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Filipe Recife went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. César Tepedino was a little too slow when Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 1-5. The crowd rose to their feet as JFSP's Hermínio Meirelles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of César Tepedino. That made the score 1-6 after 74 minutes of play. In the 77th minute, João Francisco Novaes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Ismael Velloso from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got César Tepedino's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 82 minutes into the game, Hermínio Meirelles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. César Tepedino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Magalhães got free with César Tepedino in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abcdefghijklmno Abcdefghijklmnopqrst scored 1-8 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of César Tepedino, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to JFSP getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Ismael Velloso hit a great ball. In the 97th match minute, Vale Verde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Capixaba to maneuver through the defense. 99 minutes into the match, Vale Verde's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Meirelles came free, but César Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
