The referee ignored Excelência de Luxe's protests and gave Vinícius Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. Vinícius Hoffmann hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Excelência de Luxe's Eliseu França got a free kick in the 18th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leo Junior got free with João Paulo Zonta in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 20 minutes, Erasmo Velloso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leripe Lifestyle and the Excelência de Luxe players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erasmo Velloso kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Zé Carlos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilson de Godoi in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Erasmo Velloso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Paulo Zonta saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 25 minutes, Leo Junior mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leripe Lifestyle and the Excelência de Luxe players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th minute, Leo Junior hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Carlos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu França in the 28th minute of the match. Zézinho Pontes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelo Nogueira hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Celsinho Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leripe Lifestyle's supporters rose to their feet, but Celsinho Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Paulo Zonta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Erasmo Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Excelência de Luxe booed when Leripe Lifestyle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Zico didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Zézinho Pontes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of João Paulo Zonta. The goal made the score 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zézinho Pontes made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Juan Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Nogueira hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 60 minutes into the match, Excelência de Luxe's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Pontes came free, but João Paulo Zonta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Junior might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Paulo Zonta. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Junior ran back to his position shaking his head. João Paulo Zonta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zézinho Pontes's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. After having played for 72 minutes, Zézinho Pontes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leripe Lifestyle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zézinho Pontes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute Zézinho Pontes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Erasmo Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Paulo Zonta was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Excelência de Luxe's Adelino Damião got a free kick in the 81st minute. Leripe Lifestyle's Rubinho Nogueira was substituted for Erasmo Velloso. In the 83rd minute, Adelino Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Paulo Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zézinho Pontes in the 84th minute of play. Excelência de Luxe's João Paulo Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zézinho Pontes in the 86th minute of play. Leripe Lifestyle's Jaime Cosme was substituted for Vinícius Romero. When the referee ended the match the Leripe Lifestyle players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
