ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's Duarte Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseu França in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu França in the 18th minute of play forced ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's goalkeeper Duarte Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 played minutes ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Nico da Cunha. Duarte Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eliseu França's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 24 played minutes Excelência de Luxe got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Lira. If Luís Paulo Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duarte Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Excelência de Luxe's Wilson de Godoi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duarte Leão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. João Paulo Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ defense, Eliseu França kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Duarte Leão. The ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Duarte Leão should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute Eliseu França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseu França to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, ATLÉTICO PAULISTA - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Mangueira came free, but Duarte Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
