Excelência de Luxe's Wilson de Godoi couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SALIMEN. A collision led to Excelência de Luxe getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jano Lima hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by José Vítor Paiva got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 10 minutes into the match, Eliseu França notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SALIMEN's Claudinho Teixeira. Claudinho Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudinho Teixeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseu França in the 14th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, José Vítor Paiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Zonta. Excelência de Luxe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eliseu França in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Teixeira saved SALIMEN from getting behind. After 27 played minutes SALIMEN got a freekick which was hit by Belmiro Baptista. In the 34th minute Aníbal Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Zonta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Excelência de Luxe were furious when João Vítor Lira was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Excelência de Luxe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SALIMEN:s goal. Ernesto Machado walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in SALIMEN's zone, Wilson de Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinho Teixeira came out of the goal and Wilson de Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wilson de Godoi to strike the kick off in the second half. João Paulo Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute, Belmiro Baptista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Baptista in the 61st minute of play forced Excelência de Luxe's goalkeeper João Paulo Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match SALIMEN got a corner. Excelência de Luxe's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernesto Machado ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Excelência de Luxe's goalie and right to Belmiro Baptista. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Excelência de Luxe's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Belmiro Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Excelência de Luxe's João Paulo Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Baptista in the 68th minute of play. Wilson de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Teixeira having to interfere. José Vítor Paiva blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Paulo Zonta having to make a save. João Paulo Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe Custódio hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. SALIMEN's José Vítor Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliseu França kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Aníbal Branco hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the match, SALIMEN's goal looked a bit too open when Wilson de Godoi came free, but Claudinho Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson de Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinho Teixeira having to interfere.
