The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Unidade Pinto Louco's Wesley Carneiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wesley Carneiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unidade Pinto Louco protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wesley Carneiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 7 minutes into the game, one of Unidade Pinto Louco:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dalmo Félix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Unidade Pinto Louco defense, Roberto Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dalmo Félix. The Unidade Pinto Louco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dalmo Félix should have stopped the shot. If Naldo Marquez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Cerezo was a little too slow when Jacinto Pinto got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrinho Gomes during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 48th minute, Rogério Fontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unidade Pinto Louco's Dalmo Félix played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Gerber in the 50th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 58th minute, Unidade Pinto Louco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Roberto Gerber fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Dalmo Félix made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Gerber in the 59th minute of play. Dalmo Félix made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Naldo Marquez sent off a good shot on target. Leopoldo Cerezo came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Unidade Pinto Louco's Umberto Aparecido. But to his dismay, Umberto Aparecido quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Rogério Fontes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, 100 Chance's Luisão Capixaba tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dalmo Félix made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Naldo Marquez sent off a good shot on target. Umberto Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A collision led to 100 Chance getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Naldo Marquez hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Egídio Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Gerber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Dalmo Félix made a huge save. Dalmo Félix made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Nelsinho do Nascimento sent off a good shot on target.
