Cacá Sousa made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Nelsinho Prata sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Flamengo CIMZ's Waldemar Arruda got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience was convinced that Deivid Moreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tarcisio Tasso was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Moreira in the 17th minute of play forced Flamengo CIMZ's goalkeeper Tarcisio Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flamengo CIMZ's Tarcisio Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Moreira in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Adhemar Pinho hit a great ball. 22 minutes into the match, Flamengo CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Moreira came free, but Tarcisio Tasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarcisio Tasso came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Nilton Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Nilton Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 29th minute Deivid Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tarcisio Tasso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's André Vides got a free kick in the 31st minute. Germano de Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Cacá Sousa made a huge save. If Adhemar Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Clóvis Félix made a kick off. Anselmo Vasconcelos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Clóvis Félix came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Flamengo CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Félix couldn't finish the play. Tarcisio Tasso stood somewhat misplaced when Deivid Moreira came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 56 minute. André Vides got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. André Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. If Deivid Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tarcisio Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Deivid Moreira's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Flamengo CIMZ's Tarcisio Tasso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Moreira in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Flamengo CIMZ getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Germano de Sousa hit a great ball. The long shot by Wilton Viana in the 68th minute really tested Tarcisio Tasso's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Duarte Figueiredo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. In the 69th minute, Deivid Moreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tarcisio Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Deivid Moreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tarcisio Tasso. That made the score 1-3 in the 74 minute of play. Tarcisio Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot by Wilton Viana from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Tarcisio Tasso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Botelho during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Humberto Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Prata came free, but Cacá Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute Nelsinho Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cacá Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo CIMZ's zone, Deivid Moreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarcisio Tasso came out of the goal and Deivid Moreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Deivid Moreira had several of the Flamengo CIMZ's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 93 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Tarcisio Tasso as he didn't even see the shot coming. 96 minutes into the game, Deivid Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Tarcisio Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
