Luisão Pimenta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Cachaça FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Veloso came free, but Ernesto de Godoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldo Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ademir Amaral came out and tried to block the shot, but Osvaldo Nascimento slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Luisão Pimenta hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Osvaldinho Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to A A Arizona getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hermínio Veloso hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 25th minute, but Ademir Amaral got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving A A Arizona hanging dry this time. Cachaça FC's Osvaldo Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cachaça FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Luisão Pimenta hit a great ball. 41 minutes into the match, A A Arizona's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Nascimento came free, but Ademir Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Cachaça FC's Osvaldinho Fernandes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ademir Amaral was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 46th minute Luisão Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademir Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute of the match, Osvaldinho Fernandes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ademir Amaral was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Nascimento to make the kick off. Ademir Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After some careless play in the A A Arizona defense, Luisão Pimenta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademir Amaral. The A A Arizona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademir Amaral should have stopped the shot. 6-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Osvaldo Nascimento elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ernesto Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto de Godoi having to interfere. A A Arizona's Ademir Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Nascimento in the 76th minute of play. Simão Sena in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ernesto de Godoi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 79 minutes Cachaça FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gonçalo Sampaio who took care of the corner kick. Gonçalo Sampaio made a great header on A A Arizona's corner, it was just that Cachaça FC's Ernesto de Godoi managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Cachaça FC booed when A A Arizona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldinho Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ademir Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perivaldo Castro in the 87th minute of the match. Cachaça FC's Osvaldo Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the A A Arizona defense, Luisão Pimenta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ademir Amaral. The A A Arizona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ademir Amaral should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in A A Arizona's zone, Luisão Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademir Amaral came out of the goal and Luisão Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cachaça FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
