The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Osvaldo Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Ramón Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ramón Bertassi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jefferson de Souza in the 8th minute. In the 8th match minute, Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Reis to maneuver through the defense. Ramón Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Ernesto de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ramón Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Nascimento in the 20th minute of play. Ramón Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruninho Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramón Bertassi having to make a save. Jefferson de Souza struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Ramón Bertassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cachaça FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Cachaça FC's Osvaldo Nascimento slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramón Bertassi. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ defense, Osvaldo Nascimento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramón Bertassi. The Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramón Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Ramón Bertassi came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Cachaça FC's Osvaldinho Fernandes. But to his dismay, Osvaldinho Fernandes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 42 minutes into the game, Osvaldinho Fernandes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Ramón Bertassi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernandão Garcia during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 50th minute, Fernandão Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramón Bertassi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Fernandes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jefferson de Souza hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Osvaldo Nascimento left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cachaça FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. The audience was convinced that Osvaldinho Fernandes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramón Bertassi was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Osvaldo Nascimento took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramón Bertassi. Ramón Bertassi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ's Gil Peres pulled a muscle in his back after 66 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Egídio de Castro during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ made a substitution. Erik Pereira replaced Gil Peres. 80 minutes into the game, one of Cachaça FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Bazar Alegria E.C. FSCMZ. Josué Aguiar stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ernesto de Godoi. 7-1. Luisão Pimenta took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ramón Bertassi. Ramón Bertassi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. If Luisão Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cachaça FC's Osvaldinho Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmílson Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Pereira kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Cachaça FC had played much better football throughout.
