An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho Jacinto in the 25th minute of play forced LULU TRICOLOR's goalkeeper Wanderson Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Juninho Jacinto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maverick Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Wanderson Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juninho Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in LULU TRICOLOR's zone, Percival Marinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wanderson Cordeiro came out of the goal and Percival Marinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 38 minutes of play LULU TRICOLOR's Osmar Romero was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, LULU TRICOLOR's Osmar Romero got a free kick in the 39th minute. 42 minutes into the match, LULU TRICOLOR's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Marinho came free, but Wanderson Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gernando Moreira hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Percival Marinho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wanderson Cordeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Caio dos Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caio Neto's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Percival Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Wanderson Cordeiro made a huge save. Juninho Jacinto hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Silvério Almeida made in the 67th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Sérgio Dante immediately put the ball in play. Caio Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wanderson Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Jacinto in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Maverick Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvério Almeida to maneuver through the defense. LULU TRICOLOR's Gernando Moreira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ademar Montenegro, made in the 92nd minute of the game. Ademar Montenegro made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by LULU TRICOLOR's Gernando Moreira. Ademar Montenegro got a throw-in 95 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Percival Marinho. Caio Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The LULU TRICOLOR fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Maverick Futebol Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
