In the 16th match minute, CRISDIELDAN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Melo to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute of the match Rafa Hoffmann sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Magno Fonseca skillfully saved the ball. Cristiano Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magno Fonseca having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paulo da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Matadores FC's zone, Kauan Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat.
