In the 12th minute, Indiana Jones made a precise shot to the right of Mateus de Senna. Juventus EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Matanza and Steelers's Matías Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário da Rocha in the 16th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Juventus EC's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Mateus de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Matanza and Steelers's Teodoro Gonçalves got a free kick in the 18th minute. Matías Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário da Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The supporters of Matanza and Steelers booed when Juventus EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afonso Luz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 29 played minutes Juventus EC got a freekick which was hit by José Paulo Correia. 32 minutes into the game, Indiana Jones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Mateus de Senna was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Luís Paulo Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateus de Senna made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Indiana Jones sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafim Bittencourt during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 49 played minutes Juventus EC got a freekick which was hit by Serafim Bittencourt. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Ronaldinho Carneiro made the kick off in the second half. José Paulo Correia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-2. Matías Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frederico Recife in the 72nd minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Vladimir Cabral put in a rough tackle. With a little luck, Matanza and Steelers's Matías Quirino got control of the ball when Natanael Valadares tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Matanza and Steelers's zone, Frederico Recife stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matías Quirino came out of the goal and Frederico Recife tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Romário da Rocha hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the match, Juventus EC's goal looked a bit too open when Indiana Jones came free, but Mateus de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matanza and Steelers's Luís Paulo Carneiro suffered a concussion after 89 minutes and had to leave the field. When Serafim Bittencourt was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 89 minutes had been played. Serafim Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Indiana Jones hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dênis Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Matanza and Steelers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Pereira couldn't finish the play. Juventus EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
