Vila Industrial FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Irreal Madrid the free kick. After 13 played minutes Vila Industrial FC got a freekick which was hit by Matías Botelho. Abel Garcia hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Lenílson Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Lenílson Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chiquinho Porto. Vila Industrial FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lenílson Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Irreal Madrid's William Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, William Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Irreal Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but William Couto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute, Denílson Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Lenílson Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Irreal Madrid fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Zé Vides's late challenge caught a Irreal Madrid's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Vides helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Róbson Bittencourt rounded Irreal Madrid's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Matías Botelho took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dito Monteiro. Dito Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After the first half Irreal Madrid were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Fabiano Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Chiquinho Porto was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Lenílson Azevedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lenílson Azevedo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. William Couto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th match minute, Vila Industrial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Garcia to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Vila Industrial FC booed when Irreal Madrid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Capixaba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 74 played minutes, Vila Industrial FC's Caco da Rocha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dito Monteiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vila Industrial FC reached it. Róbson Bittencourt took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dito Monteiro. Dito Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Couto in the 80th minute of play forced Vila Industrial FC's goalkeeper Chiquinho Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Irreal Madrid booed when Vila Industrial FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Couto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Chiquinho Porto came out and tried to block the shot, but William Couto slotted it home off the left post making it 4-5 in the 91st minute.
