He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. BEST FABIO F.C.'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. JURIDIQUES F.C's Cristiano Romário got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to JURIDIQUES F.C getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Emílio Alves hit a great ball. Percy Palmeira was a little too slow when Luiz Gustavo Trigo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. JURIDIQUES F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Laerte Gaspar scored to the left of an out of position Percy Palmeira, making the score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Simões during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dedé da Silveira came out of the goal and Silas de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. JURIDIQUES F.C's Silas de Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. JURIDIQUES F.C's Percy Palmeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Velloso in the 80th minute of play. Renatinho Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Gaspar hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The BEST FABIO F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while JURIDIQUES F.C had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
