In the 6th minute, Fernandão Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, S.E. Cachoeirinha's Fernandão Sampaio got a free kick in the 8th minute. BOTAFOGO's Murillo Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Gonçalves in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Eurico Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fellipe Pimenta kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ismael de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Pimenta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fellipe Pimenta took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ismael de Carvalho. Ismael de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ismael de Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe Pimenta's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in S.E. Cachoeirinha's zone, Fellipe Pimenta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael de Carvalho came out of the goal and Fellipe Pimenta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murillo Cabral stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafinha Gonçalves's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Rafinha Gonçalves fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 42 minutes into the game, Gildo Pernambucano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BOTAFOGO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E. Cachoeirinha the free kick. Gildo Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the game's 43rd minute S.E. Cachoeirinha's Fabinho Vinhas took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Murillo Cabral and thus the score was 1-1. Fellipe Pimenta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafinha Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, S.E. Cachoeirinha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Ramos to maneuver through the defense. BOTAFOGO's Murillo Cabral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafinha Gonçalves in the 61st minute of play. Fernandão Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gildo Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cachoeirinha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fellipe Pimenta fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Marco de Castro hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute, Inácio Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Ramos. Cláudio Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. S.E. Cachoeirinha's Rafinha Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, BOTAFOGO's Luan Alvarenga got a free kick in the 84th minute. Murillo Cabral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafinha Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 88th minute Rafinha Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murillo Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes S.E. Cachoeirinha got a freekick which was hit by Nando Moreno. BOTAFOGO were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing S.E. Cachoeirinha to leave the ground with a draw.
