Marcel Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. 12 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Severo came free, but Zézinho Paraense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Diego Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zézinho Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubinho Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 26 minutes into the game, when Serginho dos Santos put in a rough tackle. Thiago Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jano Zanette in the 35th minute of play. With a little luck, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Thiago Miranda got control of the ball when Amauri Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Vinícius Paraibano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oscar Abraão struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Thiago Miranda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vae Victis!!. Jano Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Thiago Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jano Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Vae Victis!! fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jano Zanette couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amauri Hermes made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Jano Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Thiago Miranda was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Marcel Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Severo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 73rd minute, Pedrinho Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinícius Paraibano hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Pedrinho Azevedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Miranda having to interfere. If Marcel Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thiago Miranda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thiago Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Zanette in the 93rd minute of the match. Rubinho Velasco hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Thiago Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oscar Abraão in the 96th minute of play. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Zézinho Paraense, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vae Victis!!'s fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
