An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Arantes in the 17th minute of play forced Fenato futebol clube's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Célio Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Célio Mangueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Mangueira in the 21st minute of play forced Fenato futebol clube's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Hermínio Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marquinhos Domingues was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Oscar Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Antônio Carlos Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Mangueira in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Fenato futebol clube getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Basílio Miranda hit a great ball. Antônio Carlos Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Mangueira in the 45th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hermínio Seco to make the kick off. Antônio Carlos Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Mangueira in the 53rd minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Célio Mangueira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Carlos Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute, Hermínio Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Carlos Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Tasso in the 68th minute of the match. Marquinhos Domingues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Seco in the 76th minute. Antônio Carlos Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Arantes went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Basílio Miranda hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Fenato futebol clube's Antônio Carlos Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Célio Mangueira in the 86th minute of play. Antônio Carlos Cearense came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville Esporte Clube's Célio Mangueira. But to his dismay, Célio Mangueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Oscar Toledo hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Délio Munhoz charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Délio Munhoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when Fenato futebol clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joinville Esporte Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Fenato futebol clube for a fine match.
