After a rather tough play, FC La Masia's Claudinei Palmeira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match João Augusto Luz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 7 played minutes Samurai Champions FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Siqueira. After a rather tough play, FC La Masia's Claudinei Palmeira got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 21 minutes, Rubens Faria mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC La Masia and the Samurai Champions FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rubens Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Jeferson Amaral struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Baltazar Nascimento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samurai Champions FC. 27 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Alexsandro Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enio Motta. Rubens Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. If Ernesto Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Amaral made a kick off. The supporters of Samurai Champions FC booed when FC La Masia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas de Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baltazar Nascimento was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Augusto Luz. With 53 minutes on the clock, Rubens Faria commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Baltazar Nascimento was a little too slow when Jeferson Amaral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 89th minute. The score was now 2-1. Samurai Champions FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
