Luizão Braga came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Trindade Atlético Club's Cássio Paes. But to his dismay, Cássio Paes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 29th minute Giovani Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luizão Braga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luizão Braga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho de Barros in the 32nd minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cássio Paes to strike the kick off in the second half. Catugi FC's Luizão Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho de Barros in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Trindade Atlético Club's Cássio Paes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luizão Braga. That made the score 1-8 after 79 minutes of play. 82 minutes into the game, Giovani Sergipano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Luizão Braga. Giovani Sergipano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-9. The supporters of Trindade Atlético Club booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cláudio Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luizão Braga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davi Proença's late challenge caught a Trindade Atlético Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
