In the 5th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kiko Novaes to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute Dráusio Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benedito Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Délio Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedito Nóbrega had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Délio Vargas's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, A.A.100Qualidade's Délio Vargas got a free kick in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dráusio Toscano in the 20th minute of play forced A.A.100Qualidade's goalkeeper Hílton Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Vargas in the 23rd minute of play forced Galo do Japi's goalkeeper Benedito Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Galo do Japi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orlando Arruda to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, A.A.100Qualidade's Hílton Rocha got control of the ball when Dráusio Toscano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when A.A.100Qualidade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. Galo do Japi's Kauã Damião shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Hílton Rocha but with some difficulty. Délio Vargas hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. A collision led to A.A.100Qualidade getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rubens Barbosa hit a great ball. Luís Madureira might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luís Madureira ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgard de Salles made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Dráusio Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the game, Galo do Japi's Dráusio Toscano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hílton Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Orlando Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Galo do Japi's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Vargas came free, but Benedito Nóbrega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ademir Carvalho hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Délio Vargas's late challenge caught a Galo do Japi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Délio Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Galo do Japi booed when A.A.100Qualidade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Délio Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, Denílson Urbano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galo do Japi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A.A.100Qualidade's Hílton Rocha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dudu Alagoano in the 94th minute of play. There was no doubt that Galo do Japi were the better team. Galo do Japi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
