Pindorama Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Rosado to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute of the match Romeu de Azevedo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrique Leme showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27th minute, Jabaquara SC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after João Carlos Britto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Pindorama Eagles's zone, Romeu de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Leme came out of the goal and Romeu de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Salgado in the 47th minute of play forced S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalkeeper Enrique Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durval Mangueira was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute of the match, Fabinho Salgado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Enrique Leme saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Enrique Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeu de Azevedo in the 61st minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Fabinho Salgado notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Enrique Leme. Enrique Leme was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jabaquara SC's Romeu de Azevedo suffered a concussion after 70 minutes and had to leave the field. Delfim dos Santos charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Delfim dos Santos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Delfim dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Edmílson Gerber kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Enrique Leme. That made the score 0-4 in the 86 minute of play. The supporters of Jabaquara SC booed when S.E. Pindorama Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Mané Moreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jabaquara SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mané Moreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Jabaquara SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than S.E. Pindorama Eagles.
