The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, America Futebol Clube SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo das Neves to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Mayhem Sharks's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Domingues came free, but Marcelo Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Meira came free, but Zé Pedro de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Sanches in the 18th minute of the match. With a little luck, America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós got control of the ball when Baltazar Melo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marcelo Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Sanches in the 23rd minute of play. Marcelo Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juarês Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Pedro de Queirós made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Raúl Pitta sent off a good shot on target. America Futebol Clube SP's supporters rose to their feet, but Juarês Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Melo in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Alves saved Mayhem Sharks from getting behind. Juarês Vides scored 0-3 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raúl Pitta during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Mayhem Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Pitta. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilton Sanches to make the kick off. America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ton Torres in the 51st minute of play. Nilton Sanches in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcelo Alves, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Zé Pedro de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ton Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. America Futebol Clube SP's Zé Pedro de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ton Torres in the 73rd minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Nilton Sanches dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marcelo Alves, 0-5. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Juarês Vides took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Marcelo Alves to make any attempt to save it. 85 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Meira came free, but Zé Pedro de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorian Siqueira in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Alves saved Mayhem Sharks from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Juarês Vides got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over America Futebol Clube SP could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mayhem Sharks throughout the match.
