When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Marcinho Meirelles took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Samuca Sá to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgílio Duarte in the 30th minute of play forced Atlético São Sebastião's goalkeeper Samuca Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Virgílio Duarte got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the match, Atlético São Sebastião's goal looked a bit too open when Marcinho Meirelles came free, but Samuca Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho Meirelles in the 44thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Samuca Sá, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Marcinho Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuca Sá was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. If Cesinha Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 53rd minute Marcinho Meirelles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuca Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético São Sebastião's zone, Virgílio Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuca Sá came out of the goal and Virgílio Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the game, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Virgílio Duarte nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuca Sá made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. After 59 minutes, Marcinho Meirelles made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Atlético São Sebastião's Samuca Sá tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Marcinho Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcinho Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuca Sá breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Atlético São Sebastião's Samuca Sá played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgílio Duarte in the 68th minute of play. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
