Ulisses de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Messias came free, but Ulisses de Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ:s goal. The referee gave Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Cesinha Saraiva, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Ulisses de Sousa. 0-1. Remo Marinho hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE's Pedrão Neiva tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ were furious when Caco Veloso was red carded, 38 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.

The wind increased when Pedrão Neiva made the kick off in the second half.
