After 14 played minutes Atlético São Sebastião got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Dracena. 16 minutes into the match, Atlético São Sebastião's goalkeeper Róbson Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Mazza. Matheus Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Marcinho Koehler notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Jardim América FC's Perivaldo Torres. Perivaldo Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Perivaldo Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fellipe Dracena's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute Reynaldo de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Joaquim Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético São Sebastião's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo de Castro came free, but Róbson Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcinho Koehler took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perivaldo Torres. Perivaldo Torres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Tomás Mazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Róbson Santos made a huge save. A collision led to Jardim América FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Nuno Neves hit a great ball. The Jardim América FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético São Sebastião were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo de Castro made a kick off. Marcinho Koehler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 55thth minute, Perivaldo Torres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Catarinense during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Atlético São Sebastião got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Catarinense. Róbson Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Mazza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, Atlético São Sebastião was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Loyola to maneuver through the defense. Róbson Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Joaquim Loyola fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético São Sebastião's protests and gave Joaquim Loyola a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd match minute, Atlético São Sebastião was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Loyola to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo de Castro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Róbson Santos was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Perivaldo Torres came out of the goal and Marcinho Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 82 played minutes Jardim América FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo Urbano. The long shot by Tomás Catarinense in the 83rd minute really tested Perivaldo Torres's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Zé Paulo Urbano hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Tomás Mazza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jardim América FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Marcinho Koehler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Perivaldo Torres made a huge save. Róbson Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
