Ulisses de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Nildo Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Mauro Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th match minute, CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Perez to maneuver through the defense. Diamantino Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Rubens Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Celsinho Xavier might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulisses de Sousa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celsinho Xavier ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute Celsinho Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Branco came free, but Rubens Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Diamantino Branco made the kick off in the second half. Rubens Arósio made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Edu Costa sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Rubens Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edu Costa. 57 minutes into the game, Mauro Meireles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ulisses de Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Celso Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With a little luck, Fala Sério FC's Rubens Arósio got control of the ball when Diamantino Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mauro Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulisses de Sousa having to interfere. Celsinho Xavier succeeded in the game's 69th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Fala Sério FC's Mauro Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 74 played minutes CUITEENSE FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Cearense. In the 75th minute, Rafinha Abraão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubens Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Costa in the 79th minute of the match. Ulisses de Sousa came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Fala Sério FC's Celsinho Xavier. But to his dismay, Celsinho Xavier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 87 minutes into the game, Celsinho Xavier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Ulisses de Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulisses de Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celsinho Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute Celsinho Xavier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fala Sério FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
