Celsinho Xavier started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Celsinho Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fala Sério FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho Xavier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesinha Saraiva took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubens Arósio. Rubens Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rubens Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Messias in the 11th minute of play. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Juvenal Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Xavier in the 14th minute of play. Juvenal Nunes was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Mauro Meireles capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Mauro Meireles really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mauro Meireles got free with Juvenal Nunes in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Remo Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fala Sério FC the free kick. Juvenal Nunes didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fala Sério FC's Mauro Meireles shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 3-1 in the ordered_time% minute. After having played for 34 minutes, Mauro Meireles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 39th minute, Cássio da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Luiz Fabiano Messias got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Negri.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Messias made a kick off. Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Juvenal Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Xavier in the 54th minute of play. If Cesinha Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Cesinha Saraiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Arósio. Fala Sério FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesinha Saraiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Rubens Arósio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fabiano Messias's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. Carlos Augusto Velasco charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Augusto Velasco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ booed when Fala Sério FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. The tension between the Fala Sério FC and the Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fala Sério FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Luiz Fabiano Messias scored to the left of an out of position Rubens Arósio, making the score, 4-3. After a rather tough play, Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ's Cesinha Saraiva got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Virgílio Duarte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Rubens Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fala Sério FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Cruzmaltinos FC - DMZ for a fine match.
