When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Celsinho Xavier made a kick off. Róbson Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Augusto Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Mauro Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Fala Sério FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Meireles couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcinho Koehler in the 61st minute of play forced Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Rubens Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Enrique Fernandes fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fala Sério FC's protests and gave Enrique Fernandes a yellow card for diving instead.
