The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafinha Goiano during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Nova Venécia-ES getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Rafinha Goiano hit a great ball. Olavo de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Paulista in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Nova Venécia-ES's Luís Guilherme de Mendonça got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 18 minutes, Oswaldo Paulista made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Nova Venécia-ES's Olavo de Sousa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Paulista in the 27th minute of play forced Nova Venécia-ES's goalkeeper Olavo de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ booed when Nova Venécia-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Oswaldo Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olavo de Sousa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Olavo de Sousa came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's Cléber Tróia. But to his dismay, Cléber Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Nova Venécia-ES players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ were winning 0-3.

52 minutes into the match, ꑿ.Ꮳ. ꋪꋬℑꋬꇓ's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Guilherme de Mendonça came free, but Luiz Neto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Nova Venécia-ES's Olavo de Sousa got control of the ball when Oswaldo Paulista tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 63rd minute Luís Guilherme de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olavo de Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswaldo Paulista in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Wilton Paes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3.
