After 6 played minutes Palmeiras de Plantão got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Moura. Francisco Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haroldo Domingues in the 11th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Cafu de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sandro Teles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Domingues came out and tried to block the shot, but Sandro Teles slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 23rd minute. LUIZ PANATO's attentive Rômulo Cearense managed to snatch the ball when Wilson Pereira made a throw-in in the 26th minute of the game. A collision led to LUIZ PANATO getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Valdomiro Motta hit a great ball. Fiori de Salles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Zé Domingues made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Domingues in the 42nd minute of play forced Palmeiras de Plantão's goalkeeper Francisco Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dagoberto Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After a rather tough play, LUIZ PANATO's Zé Arantes got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 76th minute Rômulo Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Pernambucano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tadeu Marquez in the 80th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Haroldo Domingues notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Palmeiras de Plantão's Francisco Pernambucano. Francisco Pernambucano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sandro Teles in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Domingues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Domingues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
