The supporters of Botafogo AP booed when Rua Ferreira Viana F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã Ortiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Roberto Carvalho hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Noel Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Gilmar de Mendonça made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
