An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Queirós in the 46th minute of play forced Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s goalkeeper Christian Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.! The goalkeeper, Christian Matos, was totally fooled by Maraponga FAC's José Paulo Toledo, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Noel Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 minutes of play, Rua Ferreira Viana F.C.'s Noel Damião made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jardel Falcão was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Maraponga FAC's Válbson Queirós got a free kick in the 99th minute. Emerson Costa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 101st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
