Nilmar Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Bueno went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Canarinho Atordoado's Dênis Matos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dagoberto de Queirós. That made the score 1-1 after 10 minutes of play. After 13 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Caetano Bueno made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilmar Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Castanheiro SC's Marco Bezerra seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marco Bezerra the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Castanheiro SC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marco Bezerra had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 20th minute, Marco Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nilmar Tande having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Zé Pedro Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Zé Pedro Dionísio came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Castanheiro SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Pedro Dionísio couldn't finish the play. Nilmar Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jonathan Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castanheiro SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilmar Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 30 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Caetano Bueno made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilmar Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luiz Fabiano Toledo struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Nilmar Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castanheiro SC. After 41 minutes of play, Castanheiro SC's Caetano Bueno made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilmar Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zé Pedro Dionísio scored 1-7 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nilmar Tande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonathan Moura made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Otávio Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Canarinho Atordoado's supporters rose to their feet, but Otávio Pimenta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dagoberto de Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Pedro Dionísio in the 57th minute of play forced Canarinho Atordoado's goalkeeper Nilmar Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilmar Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Luiz Fabiano Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Caetano Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castanheiro SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caetano Bueno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Caetano Bueno dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nilmar Tande, 1-8. In the 69th minute, Castanheiro SC's Zé Pedro Dionísio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-9. Jonathan Moura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Nilmar Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Luiz Fabiano Toledo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nilmar Tande. Luiz Fabiano Toledo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-10. Zé Pedro Dionísio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Isaltino Dionísio came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nilmar Tande could save by the left post. In the 84th minute Caetano Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilmar Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otávio Pimenta hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Jonathan Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Castanheiro SC played a much better game than Canarinho Atordoado and deserved their victory. The Canarinho Atordoado players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
