The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Enrique Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdemar de Moraes having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Ibis Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Nelsinho Salgado came free, but Eusébio Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 8 in the game by Nildo Rezende from a close distance when the talented Eusébio Gaúcho managed to make a qualified save. Ibis Football Club's players were relieved. In the 10th play minute Nildo Rezende came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Eusébio Gaúcho. 1-0. Nestor Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Nildo Rezende could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Eusébio Gaúcho made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nildo Rezende got free with Eusébio Gaúcho in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, Nelsinho Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eusébio Gaúcho. Ibis Football Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nelsinho Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Bene Animatus's Valdemar de Moraes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Vargas in the 26th minute of play. Enrique Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Nildo Rezende took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Eusébio Gaúcho to make any attempt to save it. Nildo Rezende's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 38thth minute, Eusébio Gaúcho skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Enrique Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

In the 51st match minute, Bene Animatus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Paulo Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. 55 minutes into the game, one of Bene Animatus:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valdemar de Moraes had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Nestor Favoretto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The excitement rose when Ibis Football Club's Nestor Favoretto after 58 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Bene Animatus's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 4-1. Bene Animatus's Nelsinho Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Nelsinho Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Bene Animatus getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Nelsinho Salgado hit a great ball. Eusébio Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nelsinho Salgado went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio da Silva got free with Valdemar de Moraes in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nelsinho Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Gaúcho having to interfere. Laércio da Silva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bene Animatus's zone, Laércio da Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdemar de Moraes came out of the goal and Laércio da Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 97 played minutes Ibis Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Vander. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Bene Animatus fully deserved thier win.
