Maurício Marques took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enrique de Sousa. A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 23rd minute Fernandinho Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique de Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Victor Souza fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's protests and gave Victor Souza a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes A.D.PADRE MIGUEL got a freekick which was hit by Victor Souza. Enrique de Sousa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmílson Rossi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Rossi in the 28th minute of play forced A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's goalkeeper Enrique de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmílson Rossis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Enrique de Sousa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A.D.PADRE MIGUEL's Enrique de Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save A.D.PADRE MIGUEL from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes into the match, Victor Souza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Paulo Brito. With an all-out effort, Leão de Judá's Enrique de Sousa threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fernandinho Vander, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Leão de Judá's Edmílson Rossi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Enrique de Sousa. That made the score 1-3 after 46 minutes of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

For all the effort they put into the match, the A.D.PADRE MIGUEL players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Leão de Judá.
