Leão de Judá's José Paulo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Terra in the 13th minute of play. José Paulo Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nando Terra in the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arlindo Breckenfeld got free with Júnior Cardozo in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseu Cardoso in the 19th minute of play forced FC BARCELONA's goalkeeper Júnior Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leão de Judá's José Paulo Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Varela in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st match minute, Leão de Judá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Leal to maneuver through the defense. Albertinho Romero hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes Leão de Judá got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Cardoso. In the 35th minute, Luizão Varela ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. José Paulo Brito was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Arlindo Breckenfeld's late challenge caught a FC BARCELONA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arlindo Breckenfeld helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, Leão de Judá was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arlindo Breckenfeld to maneuver through the defense. José Paulo Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Terra in the 44th minute of play. José Paulo Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes Leão de Judá got a freekick which was hit by Richard Leal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 50 minutes of play Leão de Judá's Arlindo Breckenfeld was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of FC BARCELONA booed when Leão de Judá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlindo Breckenfeld didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the match, Leão de Judá's goalkeeper José Paulo Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nando Terra. Júnior Cardozo came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Leão de Judá's Doni Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Doni Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Doni Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Simão Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Leão de Judá's Eliseu Cardoso got a free kick in the 70th minute. Patrick Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Brito having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Luizão Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doni Figueiredo during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Júnior Cardozo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Leão de Judá's Doni Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Doni Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Júlio Pena in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of José Paulo Brito, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
