Ismael Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nando Terra, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute, Jorge Lara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Júnior Cardozo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ismael Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Terra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júnior Cardozo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Lara's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Jorge Lara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Júnior Cardozo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC BARCELONA's Nando Terra got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jorge Lara got free with Júnior Cardozo in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC BARCELONA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Valdemar Passos 43 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jorge Lara to make the kick off. The AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when AtAnAkAs F.C FSCMZ's Jorge Lara looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luizão Varela blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ismael Valadares having to make a save. In the 82nd match minute, FC BARCELONA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luizão Varela to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Lara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, FC BARCELONA's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar Passos came free, but Júnior Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Júnior Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Lara in the 96th minute of play. FC BARCELONA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
