In the 6th match minute, C o n f i a n ç a - SE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Domingues to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the match, Armando Saldanha notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Carlos Augusto Fantini. Carlos Augusto Fantini was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 13 played minutes, FÊNIX F.C.'s Tomás de Lara shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Fantini came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FÊNIX F.C. reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcinho Domingues got free with Artur Maranhense in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FÊNIX F.C.'s Artur Maranhense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save FÊNIX F.C. from getting a goal against them. Armando Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Augusto Fantini having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Mário Matorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. FÊNIX F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mário Matorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Augusto Fantini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the game, FÊNIX F.C.'s Aílton Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Augusto Fantini made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 30th minute Mário Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Fantini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's João Reis got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute of the match Marcos Maranhense sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Fantini skillfully saved the ball. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Carlos Augusto Fantini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Saldanha in the 39th minute of play. The FÊNIX F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when FÊNIX F.C.'s Mário Matorin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to FÊNIX F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Adelino Paraíba hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, FÊNIX F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Maranhense to maneuver through the defense. C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Joel de Lima shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 47th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Artur Maranhense but with some difficulty.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Saldanha in the 51st minute of play forced C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joel de Lima hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Armando Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Augusto Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Saldanha in the 59th minute of the match. Carlos Augusto Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Armando Saldanha's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After a rather tough play, C o n f i a n ç a - SE's Manuel Simões got a free kick in the 60th minute. Carlos Augusto Fantini was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Saldanha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 61 minute of play. The supporters of FÊNIX F.C. booed when C o n f i a n ç a - SE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel de Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to C o n f i a n ç a - SE getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Manuel Simões hit a great ball. 68 minutes into the game, Armando Saldanha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Carlos Augusto Fantini was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 71 minutes of play, FÊNIX F.C.'s Armando Saldanha made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Augusto Fantini was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute of the match Marcos Maranhense shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Augusto Fantini showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Fantini in the 89th minute of play forced C o n f i a n ç a - SE's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute, FÊNIX F.C.'s Oswaldo Fantini dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Carlos Augusto Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswaldo Fantini in the 96th minute of the match. The C o n f i a n ç a - SE supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FÊNIX F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for FÊNIX F.C..
