Frederico Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo de Azevedo in the 17th minute of the match. Frederico Gonçalves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Hernández, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Paulo Renato Gonçalves put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Frederico Gonçalves. 23 minutes into the match, MAZER SAF's Héctor Hernández sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frederico Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Víktor Sarmento to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Renato Gonçalves in the 51st minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Frederico Gonçalves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Corinthians's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Héctor Hernández fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of MAZER SAF booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. MAZER SAF's Mathias Favoretto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 57th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Frederico Gonçalves but with some difficulty. MAZER SAF made a substitution. Enéas Ceresso replaced Paulo Renato Gonçalves. MAZER SAF's Doriva Carneiro was substituted for Manfredo de Azevedo. A hard shot 70 in the game by Doriva Carneiro from a close distance when the talented Frederico Gonçalves managed to make a qualified save. Corinthians's players were relieved. In the 84th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Renato Faria to maneuver through the defense. Doriva Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Frederico Gonçalves made a huge save. Frederico Gonçalves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Doriva Carneiro's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Doriva Carneiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Frederico Gonçalves however easily saved by the left post. MAZER SAF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
