After 15 minutes of play, Vista Alegre FC's Ediberto Abraão made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edmundo Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 21 minutes into the match, Vista Alegre FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Mandrak came free, but Hortêncio Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Antônio Carlos Vander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmundo Lopes. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Antônio Carlos Vander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After some careless play in the FC Gustavo FPRMZ defense, Antônio Carlos Vander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edmundo Lopes. The FC Gustavo FPRMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edmundo Lopes should have stopped the shot. Dorival Massa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hortêncio Senna read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Vista Alegre FC's Hortêncio Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Vista Alegre FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Joaquim Mandrak made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Sydney Maciel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hortêncio Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Negri in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goalkeeper Edmundo Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Joaquim Mandrak made a precise shot to the right of Hortêncio Senna. Vista Alegre FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Antônio Carlos Vander's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edmundo Lopes firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of FC Gustavo FPRMZ booed when Vista Alegre FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson Matorin didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raí Bittencourt couldn't finish the play. Egídio Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Hortêncio Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sydney Maciel's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 93rd minute, Giuseppe Cearense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edmundo Lopes. The goal made the score 1-5. The FC Gustavo FPRMZ supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Vista Alegre FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Vista Alegre FC.
