In the 9thth minute of the game Rui de Lima who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s Walmir Ferreira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Walmir Ferreira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui de Lima's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui de Lima got free with Walmir Ferreira in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Walmir Ferreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Breno Ribeiro put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Walmir Ferreira. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Deivid Queirós took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Walmir Ferreira to make any attempt to save it. S.C. Ferrari's Rui de Lima was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 28th match minute, S.C. Ferrari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raí Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for S.C. Ferrari! Walmir Ferreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Deivid Queirós showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 46 minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rui de Lima made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui de Lima in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmir Ferreira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui de Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walmir Ferreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rômulo Freitas in the 64th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Sanches to maneuver through the defense. When Raí Sampaio fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C. Ferrari's protests and gave Raí Sampaio a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, S.C. Ferrari's Raí Sampaio got a free kick in the 69th minute. S.C. Ferrari made a substitution. Eliseu Souto replaced Aníbal Furlan. Wilson Andrade hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS Indaiatuba F.C.'s zone, Rômulo Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Ferreira came out of the goal and Rômulo Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 83rd minute, Breno Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
