Geovanni Brodel guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. The Desportiva Paulo Afonso fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Desportiva Paulo Afonso's Francisco Garcia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Benedito Rezende got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Garcia got free with Geovanni Brodel in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renatinho Braga couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rogério Rezende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s Geovanni Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renatinho Braga in the 57th minute of play. Geovanni Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Francisco Garcia took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovanni Brodel. Geovanni Brodel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Renatinho Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovanni Brodel having to interfere. In the 81st minute of the match José Vítor de Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovanni Brodel skillfully saved the ball. In the 81st match minute, └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério Rezende to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match José Vítor de Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Geovanni Brodel skillfully saved the ball. Artur Rezende hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Renatinho Braga struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Geovanni Brodel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportiva Paulo Afonso. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Desportiva Paulo Afonso had played much better football throughout.
