That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. José do Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frédson Ramos's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Carlinhos Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiliam Matorin in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Wiliam Matorin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlinhos Amorim. The goal made the score 2-0. José do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Ramos in the 19th minute of play forced SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper José do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes VIAMÃO F.C.. got a freekick which was hit by Róbson Munhoz. Carlinhos Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. VIAMÃO F.C..'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAO JOANENSE FC the free kick. Róbson Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Wiliam Matorin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carlinhos Amorim. The goal made the score 3-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eriberto Vaz made the kick off in the second half. Wiliam Matorin took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlinhos Amorim. Carlinhos Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. VIAMÃO F.C..'s Luiz Fernando Félix quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jerônimo Velloso, made in the 68th minute of the game. With a little luck, SAO JOANENSE FC's José do Vale got control of the ball when Frédson Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, SAO JOANENSE FC's goalkeeper José do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frédson Ramos. Carlinhos Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Vaz in the 83rd minute of play.
