Spectators: 152 (Terracing: 114, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Lúcio Eger got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Eger came free, but Giovani de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertinho Lucas got in the 7th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Giovani de Amaral handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The AVAÍ F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when AVAÍ F.C.'s Albertinho Lucas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 13 minutes into the game, Lúcio Eger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AVAÍ F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portuguesa the free kick. After 13 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Eger. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of AVAÍ F.C.:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portuguesa:s goal. In the 20th minute Albertinho Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Queirós. In the 22nd minute of the match Oscar Seco sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ronaldo Matos skillfully saved the ball. Ronaldo Queirós hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Portuguesa's Giovani de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertinho Lucas in the 29th minute of play. Giovani de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Bertassi, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Régis Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto Bertassi took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovani de Amaral. Giovani de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 41st minute Lúcio Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovani de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovani de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho Lucas, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Portuguesa's goal looked a bit too open when Albertinho Lucas came free, but Giovani de Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Eusébio de Amorim had to leave the field with a concussion. After 45 minutes, Válter Barbosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portuguesa and the AVAÍ F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. AVAÍ F.C. made a substitution. Marco de Sousa replaced Eusébio de Amorim. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With 58 minutes on the clock, Iuri Neto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portuguesa fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Giovani de Amaral, was totally fooled by AVAÍ F.C.'s Oswaldo Recife, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marco de Sousa during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, Marco de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Válter Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ediberto Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Giovani de Amaral made a huge save. Portuguesa's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Albertinho Lucas scored to the left of an out of position Giovani de Amaral, making the score, 1-4. Lauro Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Giovani de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertinho Lucas in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Albertinho Lucas fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Lucas in the 94th minute of play forced Portuguesa's goalkeeper Giovani de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murilo Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded AVAÍ F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Portuguesa.
