With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldo Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luisinho da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 played minutes AVAÍ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nelsinho Catarinense. Ronaldo Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho da Mata in the 20th minute of the match. With his leg Ronaldo Matos managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when PRO-BR™ -P.A.B-'s Gualter Jacinto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gualter Jacinto scored 1-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldo Matos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Lucas in the 35th minute of play forced PRO-BR™ -P.A.B-'s goalkeeper Abel Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute Albertinho Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Guedes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gualter Jacinto to strike the kick off in the second half. Nelsinho Catarinense lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in AVAÍ F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! In the 77th minute, Gualter Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute Luisinho da Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrézinho de Azevedo during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. PRO-BR™ -P.A.B- had played much better football throughout.
