A collision led to Zandarin FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Zézinho Azevedo hit a great ball. In the 14th match minute, Zandarin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ramón Almeida's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raphael de Queiroz was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 17th minute, Ramón Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael de Queiroz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 26th minute of the match Flying Dutch got a corner. Zandarin FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leandro Coutinho ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hermínio Botelho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Jonas de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernani Brito in the 28th minute. Ramón Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Raphael de Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Edinho Reis fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flying Dutch's protests and gave Edinho Reis a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Edinho Reis. Luizinho Amorim was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elano Marques during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elano Marques hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The Zandarin FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flying Dutch were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Elano Marques made the kick off in the second half. Egídio Goiano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael de Queiroz having to interfere. Raphael de Queiroz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramón Almeida went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 59th minute, Egídio Goiano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 65 minutes into the match, Flying Dutch's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Brito came free, but Jonas de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 68th minute Evandro Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raphael de Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Evandro Souza came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Flying Dutch fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evandro Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute of the match Claudinho Quirino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas de Queirós skillfully saved the ball. Zandarin FC's Ernani Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonas de Queirós didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernani Brito went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Flying Dutch's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
