Ernani Brito scored 0-1 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo de Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raphael de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natanael de Almeida in the 35th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Elano Marques was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes of play, Montalcino SE's Narciso Paraense made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raphael de Queiroz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 61 minutes, Haroldo Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montalcino SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the game, Zézinho Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zandarin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Montalcino SE the free kick. Raphael de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Montalcino SE's Narciso Paraense. But to his dismay, Narciso Paraense quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 66 played minutes Zandarin FC got a freekick which was hit by Ernani Brito. After 72 played minutes Zandarin FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Ramos. After having played for 77 minutes, Ernani Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zandarin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernani Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Narciso Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Montalcino SE's supporters rose to their feet, but Narciso Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raphael de Queiroz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 86 played minutes Montalcino SE got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Paraense. Rubinho Barreto lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 88th minute, one of Montalcino SE:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Montalcino SE. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Elano Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zandarin FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo de Castro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zandarin FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Montalcino SE had controlled the match.
