Douglas Abreu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elói de Medeiros having to make a save. In the 23rd match minute, Barrenta SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. If Jeferson Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. João Paulo Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeferson Mazza made a kick off. Jeferson Mazza who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 54thth minute tested the skills of Elói de Medeiros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 95th minute Jeferson Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elói de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Oliveira hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Barrenta SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
