An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Borges in the 3rd minute of play forced TEIXEIRINHA FC's goalkeeper Duarte de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Mar to maneuver through the defense. Duarte de Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neil Mar, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Duarte de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Borges in the 12th minute of play. Nildo Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Leonardo Vides had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Duarte de Carvalho. TEIXEIRINHA FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonardo Vides was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Duarte de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Borges in the 28th minute of the match. The supporters of Marzagão booed when TEIXEIRINHA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Breno Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Leonardo Vides hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Nildo Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neil Mar took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Duarte de Carvalho. Duarte de Carvalho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Duarte de Carvalho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Remo Borges went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Duarte de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Borges in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nildo Rodrigues to make the kick off. Pedro Luís Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Duarte de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save TEIXEIRINHA FC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Nildo Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luís Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Duarte de Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remo Borges in the 63rd minute of play. Alfredinho Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredinho Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Marzagão's Alfredinho Quintal got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 70th minute, Nildo Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduardo Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Fernandez having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonardo Vides got free with Duarte de Carvalho in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 77 minutes into the match, TEIXEIRINHA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Vides came free, but Duarte de Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte de Carvalho was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Remo Borges capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remo Borges really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Duarte de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adhemar Alagoano hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. The Marzagão supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Marzagão would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
