An unexpectedly hard shot by Nildo Rodrigues in the 16th minute of play forced Marzagão's goalkeeper Pedro Luís Fernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Duarte de Carvalho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Leonardo Vides could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Duarte de Carvalho made a huge save. After 21 minutes, Neil Mar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marzagão and the TEIXEIRINHA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Marzagão was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neil Mar to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Marzagão booed when TEIXEIRINHA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Borges might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Luís Fernandez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Borges ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Prado in the 28th minute of play forced TEIXEIRINHA FC's goalkeeper Duarte de Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The long shot by Cleiton Paulista in the 29th minute really tested Duarte de Carvalho's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Duarte de Carvalho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Neil Mar in the 34th minute. If Nildo Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Marzagão getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Cleiton Paulista hit a great ball. Conrado Rossi was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 38th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. TEIXEIRINHA FC's Duarte de Carvalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save TEIXEIRINHA FC from getting a goal against them. Duarte de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Prado in the 41st minute of the match.

Marzagão's Remo Borges was substituted for Leonardo Vides. Pedro Luís Fernandez made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Nildo Rodrigues sent off a good shot on target. Duarte de Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano de Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 76th minute, Remo Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Borges got free with Pedro Luís Fernandez in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 84th minute, Remo Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Nildo Rodrigues recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pedro Luís Fernandez. Nildo Rodrigues showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Conrado Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Pedro Luís Fernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
